Hi, I am Kevin from the beautiful Island of Jamaica. I am a Software Engineer who has been coding for over 10 years. I have worked with multiple development stacks inclusive of .NET, JAVA, PHP and currently deep diving into Python.
I also love to take a blank canvas and turn it into an interesting visual story.
Another passion of mine is Linux, so I daily drive Linux, specifically EndeavourOS, on my main machine. I started using Linux because it is Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). I don’t need to worry about license costs and I have control of the hardware I paid for.

I am the father to one son named Josiah, born October 2018. His name is taken from the Bible – 2 Kings 22:1-2. Being a father has its challenges but they have allowed me to be more focused, responsible and reliable.

The greatest developers are those who have the ability to solve problems. A true developer is aware of such and knows that a programming language is just the syntax used to implement the solution. Thus, having this ability allows for learning any unknown programming language in a quick time.

I have been married to my beautiful wife since August 2015. Marriage has sealed within me love and care, respect, commitment and determination, which I also apply to all areas of my life.
My Experience & professional skills
My coding career started in March 2008 at a company in St Vincent and the Grenadines. I used VB/C#.NET and Object Oriented Programming to build desktop applications with Visual Studio 2003. I moved unto other employment where I used technologies including: JAVA, PHP and .NET Core.

Technology consistently changes at a rapid pace, which is why I always pursue courses on specific topics to keep up to date with changing tech. I also read a lot of articles on the Internet about varying topics as well as watch videos.
This course covers all the fundamentals of Linux. Its a good starting point to get into DevOps.
This course focuses on Linux use case in the Enterprise space.

I love JAMAICA, it is a beautiful Island with a uniquely rich culture loved by many all over the world. Whether you are a local or foreigner, there is much to explore on the island of Jamaica.
I love Great Food
The Jamaican patty is a popular bite around the world. Many have tried to replicate it, but no matter where I travel to, nothing comes close to my Jamaican patties. There is an ongoing debate as to which patty company has the best patties, well I believe Juici Patties currently makes the best patties.
Ackee and saltfish is the National Dish of Jamaica. This dish is loved by us locals, especially for breakfast with roasted breadfruit and fired dumplins.
The drum-pan jerked chicken gives the Jamaican jerk its authenticity, not baked chicken with jerk sauce. Oh, this meal goes well with a little “Stripe”. On your next visit to the garden parish – St. Ann, while in Ocho Rios, be sure to checkout the Ocho Rios Jerk Center.
I am outdoorsy
I love going to the beach and rivers across the island, but Dunn’s River Falls has been my favorite since a child. Now on my time away from work, I take my family and teach my young son how to climb the falls.
Hard work and no play is the highway to stress. So I love to go cycling and jogging as a means to remain Fit and Irie. I even participate in 5K runs at times. I also enjoy playing sports such as football and basketball. This is how I exercise weekly.
I love to explore and be adventurous, so I went zip-lining and tubing down a river with Chukka. Next on the list is to go racing ATVs in the hills.
